Stranded with a Billionaire

Stranded with a billionaire (Billionaire Boys Club #1) By Jessica Clare

Stranded with a Billionaire (Billionaire Boys Club, #1)Blurb:The Billionaire Boys Club is a secret society of six men who have vowed success – at any cost. Not all of them are old money, but all of them are incredibly wealthy. They’re just not always as successful when it comes to love…

Billionaire Logan Hawkings needs a vacation.
He’s had a rough time after the death of his father and the betrayal of his fiancee. But with a visit to a recent business acquisition—a private island resort in the Bahamas—he has a chance to mend his broken heart.
When a hurricane blows in, a misplaced passport and a stalled elevator bring Logan together with an unusual woman named Bronte. She’s unlike anyone he’s ever met—down to earth, incredibly sensual, and even quotes Plato.
She also has no clue that he’s rich…

Bronte Dawson, a waitress from the Midwest, is stranded with the hotel’s domineering yet sexy manager Logan. What’s the harm in a little fling when it’s just the two of them, alone in paradise? But after several steamy island nights in Logan’s arms, Bronte’s ready to give her heart—and her body—to the man in charge.

But she soon discovers there’s more to Logan than he’s told her…a billion times more. Now, Bronte’s caught in a whirlwind affair with one of the world’s most powerful men. But can their love endure their differences or will it all just blow over?

My Take: Honestly I wanted more... It was a good book but seemed to have focus in areas i don't really care about and not enough attention in the ones i was more interested...
Was a good quick read. I like how Logan was protective of Bronte but still stand off ish.. He didn't try to take advantage of her while she was feeling vulnerable and scared because of the hurricane. He took the time to get to know her and care for her...
Bronte was very skittish of Logan. due to the offering her of nice things... She didn't want to be bought like he thought she wanted or needed to be.... I like how when he figured out what was upsetting Bronte so upset he tried to fix it and also did what she wanted to make her see that he did care about her and it wasn't just a quick fling for him.... Will continue to read the series... I want more hope that the rest is the more that I need!

Torn From You By: Nashoda Rose

Torn From You By: Nashoda Rose

Blurb: Highly recommended to read the novella "With You" first.
Love is like an avalanche. It hits hard, fast and without mercy.
At least it did for me when Sculpt, the lead singer of the rock band Tear Asunder knocked me off my feet. Literally, because he’s also a fighter, illegally of course, and he taught me how to fight. He also taught me how to love and I fell hard for him. I mean the guy could do sweet, when he wasn't doing bossy, and I like sweet.
Torn from YouThen it all shattered.
Kidnapped.
Starved.
Beaten.
I was alone and fighting to survive.
When I heard Sculpt's voice, I thought he was there to save me.
I was wrong.
*Warning: This book contains some disturbing situations, strong language and sexual content. Over 18 years.
This is a love story with some dark elements. Dark contemporary romance. No cliffhanger and next in the Tear Asunder series is Ream's story (the band's lead guitarist).

My Take: OMG!!!! I dont even know where to start. There is so much I can't believe what happened....

Emily has gone to hell and back and the only person she had to make her feel safe was Logan ( Her Master).
She loved him and doesn't know what to think, he wont let her go and is making her stay. She fears him and that goes against everything that he has taught her in self defense. Anger should over ride fear.....
Logan doesn't want Emily to fear him but it is the only way for both of them to survive because not all is as it seems, half of what happened i never saw coming....
When Emily is returned home she gets her dream, to have a horse farm to care for sick and harmed horses.
When Logan shows up after two years of space....... Her world comes crashing down all the things she was trying to forget she is forced to remember and face... So many questions were left unanswered when she was rescued shes not sure if she wants the answers no matter how bad she needs them to let it go...
Logan let her go to protect her, to save her life, no matter how much it hurt he also gave her 2 years to try and heal from all the pain.. Some that he caused and some that he tried to protect her from and wasn't able to.....
He wants her back and wont let her go this time she needs him to heal he is the only way he will heal... His love... Wanted more from Logan and Emily.... Glad to see that she is not done with this series!

With You By: Nashoda Rose

With You By: Nashoda Rose

Blurb: Sculpt is an illegal fighter.
He’s also the lead singer of a local rock band.
No one knows his real name.
And from the moment I met him, he made me forget mine.
In order to convince Sculpt to give me self-defense lessons, I had to follow his one rule—no complaining or he’d walk. I didn’t think it would be a problem. I’d been bucked off horses, kicked and stepped on. I could handle a few bruises. What I hadn’t anticipated was landing on my back with Sculpt on top of me and my entire body burning up for him.
With You
I tried to ignore it.
Then I tried to stop it.
I failed of course. And having a hot, tattooed badass on top of me week after week, acting cool and completely immune to what he was doing to my body—it was frustrating as hell, so I broke his rule—I complained.
Then he kissed me.

My Take: Well when I started reading this I had never heard of it or read the summery on it, I had only seen it all over the place. So I took a chance at reading it. Well i fell in love with Emily and Sculpt when I was done I was blown away i couldn't believe what had just happened.....
I like how Sculpt is kind of distant and at the same time hes not. I like how he spends so much time with Emily and wont let her do things that are dangerous like riding public transportation at night. I was surprised to see that he wasn't more open to giving her self defense training when she first asked, but i did like that once he heard why she wanted them that he wanted to protect her.
Emily was so strong even after being attacked she stood strong and and held her ground and wouldn't take no for an answer. She never quite and never cried about the training or the pain from it..
Once Sculpt started to really connect to Emily I was lost. Only to pray the store is not even close to being done...... When it was over I panicked praying that book two was out and i didn't have to wait a year to read it..
Has to be one of my top 25 favorite books!

I give it a 5 out of 5!

Breaking The Wrong By: Calia Read

Breaking the WrongBreaking The Wrong ( Sloan brothers #2) By: Calia Read

Blurb: Emilia Wentworth would do anything for her sister.

For three years, Emilia has lived in the past, feeling her sister's pain and hating those who are to blame, including one of the Sloan brothers.

Finally, she has had enough. The only way to be free is to create a Burn List with all the people who have ever hurt her sister.

As she crosses each name off, she gets closer and closer to her final target. But, things aren't always as they seem.

Loyalties are tested.

Boundaries are crossed.

And the truth is revealed

My Take: Well when I first started this book I was kind of afraid to read it... Even though this was only book two I have grown to love these people.. I was not only afraid something bad would happen To Macsen, but also Severine and Thayer...
I loved that Macsen finally got his "Severine".. I was very pleased to see him man up to the occasion and tell Emilia all of the things he was so afraid to tell Severine...... Even though he had people telling him to be careful, he still put his trust in her......
I love that Emilia was such a watcher and I was afraid of what she was going to do and what could have happened in the past to make some one into that person...... I feel so much pain for Emilia no one should ever go through that..... I was pleased to see her take a step back and get to know Macsen.
I felt the pain that these two went through not only alone but also together. I was very pleased with the way things went in this book, even though I was afraid to read it in the beginning, and I am very happy that i did read it! I cannot wait until book 3 comes out

I give this book 5 out of 5! LOVE IT!

Every Which Way By: Calia Read

[Enter Post Title Here]

Every Which Way (Sloan Brothers #1)   By: Calia Read

      Blurb:
Severine Blake has seen far too many friends taken down in the crossfires of dating.
She devises a precise course of action to protect her heart. The plan is working very well…..
Until she meet Thayer and Macsen.

When the Sloan brothers come into her life, nothing is the same.
Every Which WayThayer is a self-possessed, arrogant, and used to getting what he wants.

Being near him leaves Severine unsteady and shaken. He makes her question everything
Macsen contradicts his brother in every way. His calm personality captivates her. Severine is drawn to him instantly.
But Severine quickly discovers that when you want something, that want can turn to wicked. Giving is not always easy, especially when your heart refuses to give up the fight.

What little illusion of love Severine has is soon destroyed. Every option is broken, and the protection she has built around her heart instantly crumbles.

There is just no right way with the Sloan brothers.

My Take
: Severine has had to watch her dad walk away with no problem, and watch her mom pick up the pieces time and time again……..

“You should never show your emotions. Someone will steal them away, and you’ll be left with nothing, Severine… You need to remember, Severine, that a lonely heart is better than a heart left in pieces…”

So she keeps her distance with me so that she doesn't find herself  being left behind to pick up the pieces on her own like her mom Until... The Sloan Brothers.....

When Severine sees Thayer for the first time you know she is drawn to him and I love the feeling you get from them just seeing each other, I couldn't wait for them to spend the time having a conversation, or the fire that would happen when they did.

Then she meets Macsen and sees ever thing that she wants in someone she can have a relationship... She loves how calm and collocated that he is... She wants to have the safeness, and comfort that Macsen seems can offer... I don't blame Macsen for how things happend between him and Severine, I think his mom did a number on him..... Macsen seems so lost.. Macsen was trying so hard to make Severine be what he thought he wanted and/or needed..
When in the end he didn't know what he truly needed he just knew what he wanted....
He wanted Severine to look at him the way she seemed to look at Thayer...

Now I have a lot of respect for Thayer, because no matter how much he wanted to be with Severine, he never interfered with Macsen and Severine's relationship. He was man enough to take a step back and allow them to have the relationship they both thought they wanted, no matter how much it hurt himself.
Yeah he may be a cocky, arrogant, basketball player, but he does't allow that to define who he is.
He allows Severine the time and space to figure out what she truly wants, and who she wants, and how she wants it. He is also there for her when she needs someone even if she doesn't know what she wants or needs.Though he never pushes what he wants on to her.......
I honestly wanted more of Thayer and Severine... I love the way they interact with each other and draw the other in.
I was drawn in from the beginning. I couldn't put it down, and was very sad to see it end.. Although I'm glad she ended it the way she did because that meant there was more to come!

I'd rate this book 5 out of 5!
